The sunrays reflected from the surface of the water as I looked at the city from above. The pool looked like it went on forever till the edge of the 56-storey high skyscraper. The skies were painted with an array of colours, from red to orange, purple blue and green.
If you’re looking for a calming place in the midst of the city, the Marina Bay Sands infinity pool is definitely where you want to be.
Yet another addition of my rooftop in Singapore, this is one of the places everyone talks about on the topic of Singapore. Of course, as a Singaporean, I have to go and check it out! I had to hold my breath when I enter the pool because the view was absolutely amazing. It was exactly like what you see on the TV, posters and postcards. In fact, the actual view is even better!
I went there during late afternoon so I could watch the sunset from the pool. The view was indeed splendid. Palm trees lining the shore of the pool, tanning beds with a good width from the next for privacy and mini private Jacuzzi at the other end. I think this is what heaven looks like!
Everyone in the pool was armed with a camera, phone and/or selfie stick. It is almost as if the pool was a photo booth area.
Trevellers Tip: Go to the pool during sunset to capture the beautiful shots!
To get to the MBS infinity pool
- The only way you can get into the pool is if you book a hotel in Marina Bay Sands. There, you will get 2 passes that allow you to go up. 1 pass per person.
- Alternatively, you can go to Ce La Vie, the club beside it. You get to enjoy the same view as the pool too! PS: Free entry on Wednesdays to Ce La Vie. On other days, you have to pay S$22 for a cash voucher to enter.
I made friends with a few people, including Ben and Delia. Credits of the pictures go to them! It’s cool because they’re from Bern and in a few days time, I would be there. When I was in Bern though, both of them were busy. Nonetheless, we will definitely meet again someday, somewhere around the world! Here are more beautiful pictures for you to feast your eyes on.
I am so fortunate to have a really good weather and to meet really awesome people! I hope to be back again someday.
