This time, I brought my Canadian and American friends, Holly and Curtis, to Lantern! Holly has been thinking about this rooftop bar since like forever and it coincides with one of the rooftop bars I posted! The main reason I’m attracted to it: the infinity pool by the bar.

Positioned at the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District and by the Marina Bay, Fullerton Bay Hotel is very accessible. The nearest MRT (train/subway) is Raffles Place MRT Exit B, and it’s only a short walk away. Alternatively, you can take the bus that stops right outside the hotel.
Bus numbers: 10, 57, 70, 100, 107, 128, 130, 131, 162, 167, 196
Train Station: Raffles Place MRT, Exit B
What is There
Reaching Fullerton Bay Hotel, I realized that there was a private event: the Lamborghini event. I actually see familiar faces with those darling Christian Louboutin shoes and gorgeous Birkins. There’s tons of Lamborghinis there, as if sprinkled on the floor.
The rooftop bar was at Level 6. I was slightly taken aback as I’m used to high ones, but looking at the bar, a smile grew on my face.
As the lift door opens, the sight of an infinity pool greeted us. The clear blue waters were glowing under the warm pool lights. And surrounding the bar was Marina Bay Sands across and tons of Lamborghinis below. To complete everything, it was just 2 days before Mid-Autumn and the moon hung at its brightest.
Lantern Bar at Fullerton Bay Hotel
We were quickly served to our table by the lady and passed 2 mini Jacuzzi pools on the way. I wished I had my bathing suit and can dip in the pool while the sipping my drink and enjoying the night away. Oh, by the way, the rooftop bar is called Lantern. It’s awesome because Mid-Autumn is also known as Lantern Festival.
At Lantern, they have wines, whiskeys, cocktails, mocktails, etc. And the most exciting thing (in my opinion) was the availability of CIGARS. None of us purchased, obviously, but the tables beside us certainly did. Cigars with scotch have always been my dream. We did not do it though. Well, firstly because alcohol in Singapore is too expensive that it makes my heart break each time, and secondly we don’t smoke. I got a Pinot noir, Curtis a Manhattan Whiskey and Holly a Pina Colada. We chilled, talked and spent the wonderful night like that.
The costs of the drinks start from SGD18++. They also do serve tapas and other cuisines. I had some fries and snacks with my drinks and it was great. Alternatively, ladies can enjoy a free drink on ladies night on Wednesday.

It’s a place great for chilling with friends and to unwind after a long day. After that, I went back almost every month with my other international friends. It’s a quieter place than the usual rooftop bars and the view of the whole business direct and Marina Bay is also a good pairing with my drinks. PS: The main pool is an infinity pool with transparent glass at the end of the pool. And the 2 mini Jacuzzi pools are perfect for 2 people to chill and look over the bay.
I would love more nights like this. In the end, I missed my last train and took the night bus home. Till the next rooftop!
