Hong Kong is one of the most popular destinations of travel due to its fast interconnectivity to neighboring countries, immense opportunities for business and pleasure as well as the a shopping haven for many. Hong Kong is a tax-free economy, translating to cheaper shopping. It also has a great balance of urban city life and rural countryside. Not only so, there are many islands to explore and visit if you have time.

What To Do In Hong Kong
The night never sleeps in Hong Kong. Happy hour usually starts at 4-5pm, followed by parties in the night and after parties when the club closes. But of course, the night entertainment does not just belong to Wanchai Hennessy Road, LKF, Sheung Wan’s underground bars, Mongkok and TST. One of my favourite chill places is Kennedy town. A beer by the shore or chill with your girlfriends with cocktails and nachos, that’s how you should end your night.
From HK-drama’s popular Sham Shui Po and Wan chai to landmarks like the Lamma Winds and Jumbo Floating Restaurant, there are many popular places you should explore. If you’re thinking about something more related to the beach, Lung Kwu Tan and Stanley Beach are great places to be.
Another popular place out of the hectic city life is the outlying islands. Simply take the ferries from Central Ferry Pier (Hong Kong Station) and you will discover amazing islands like Discovery Bay and Lamma Island (one of the greatest beaches ever). Looking for somewhere more hipster? Tap Mun Chau (Grass Island) and Po Toi Island are less populated places with amazing things to offer. And you get to see real brown cows in Grass Island!
There are many museums and galleries. IFC mall and Central has tons of art galleries for you to enjoy. Sometimes, the prices are rather affordable too. Also visit popular temples like Wong Tai Sin Temple and Tin Hau Temple to have a little more understanding about the Chinese culture.
I fell in love with hiking. Here’s some destinations you can hike and enjoy a dip in the pool, beach or cliff dive at the end: Infinity Pool, Kowloon Reservoir Hike, Camping/Hiking in Grass Island, Sunset Peak, Cliff diving in Sai Kung’s Waterfall, Dragon’s Back Hike. There are more hiking trails in Sai Kung, Tai Mo Shan and Lion’s Rock Mountain! If you are up for a real challenge, the Dragon’s Waterfall will be interesting.
Just going to Hong Kong to chill and relax? Here’s some activities you can enjoy: Strawberry farm, Horse Racing, Ngong Ping 360 cable car, massages or high tea with your lovely friends. How about some beer by the pier in Tsim Sha Tsui while listening to people playing live music after a hearty meal?

Before your day, fuel yourself up with breakfast that Hong Kong has to offer. Followed by some snacks, dimsum or happy hour during the day. Fill your stomach with food for lunch and dinner because tonight, we’re GOING TO PARTY. Alternatively, if you’re the type that prefers quite and nice peaceful time, head on down to the whiskey bars or rooftop bars to chill during the night!
