The Plaza Premium Arrivals Lounge is actually pretty impressive. Located between T1 & T2 you will find the lounge opposite the CX arrivals lounge, and the instant impression is how spacious it is.
As I’d already used the CX Arrivals Lounge to shower and have a light bite, I just had a look around and was pleasantly surprised. It was a far better space than the CX arrivals lounge, with more seating, larger dining area and individual booths with computers.
The F&B selection was also wider than CX, providing continental breakfast options, along with a further range of hot food, sandwiches and a good selection of self-serve soft beverages. Alcohol was available to purchase as usual.
The Plaza Premium Lounges seem to charge for their shower facilities, and HKG is no exception with showers starting from 200 HKD (£19/US$25).
The charge for a 2 hour stay (excluding shower) is 580 HKD (£54/US$74). Using my Priority Pass I gained 3 hours access free of charge and could have guested another in as well. Unfortunately, no Be My Guest members were flying at the same time to share the benefit.
Overall a pretty nice space to relax in, do some work and then proceed with your journey or day.
