3D2N Itinerary in Guangzhou
3 days is enough to explore Guangzhou. The main areas that you should explore will be the financial district, Guangzhou Library area (Tian He) and the old town. It is easy to get around with the trains, buses, metro and cabs.
Depending on where you stay, you can explore the area closest to your hotel. I appreciate the convenience and stayed at The Westin Hotel. It is located in a very central area, and everything is within walking distance or a short metro ride away.

The first thing is to visit the architecture there. It is a relatively new city with the artistic skyscrapers. Visit the Guangzhou Opera House and Library while you are there. It looks nicer at night, but for photographer purpose, visit them during office hours, as there are fewer people around.

While you are there, do visit the Guangzhou Museum and learn about the Chinese culture and history! Do note that they close on Mondays, and open on all other days.
Guangzhou Financial District
After which, take a stroll along the financial district. The skyscrapers can look intimidating but each building is unique on its own. Every turn on the street surprised me. One building was even covered in reflective gold. Can you find that building when you are in Guangdong?
After a day of sightseeing and museums, it’s time to enjoy some leisure activities.
Shopping in Guangzhou
Shopping is not a priority, but there are many malls there. The malls are extremely huge, and one can easily spend an entire day there. Do check out Mall of the World there. Another place to shop is Zheng Jia Street. The area looks very chill with little local designer boutiques and cafes. It does not look like China at all!
You can choose to chill and leave or get in touch with nature.
Nature in Guangzhou
If you want to stay in Tian He Area, visit the park in Tian He. It is an 800-900m long park that stretches parallel to Xiancun Road. In the park, there are benches, beautiful buildings and water ponds around. A great place to chill.
Alternatively, if you are a hiking fan, visit the natural areas in Guangzhou. The Bai Yun mountain or White Cloud Mountain is a natural place, away from the bustling city. You also get a panoramic view of the city from its peak. The White Cloud Mountain is a must visit!
Guangzhou is a nice place for a getaway. There are lots of Chinese food to try and similar to that of Shenzhen, like street food in Shenzhen. Do also spend some time in Shenzhen while travelling in China.
